15 g per 225 ml

brew it like you always do

same ratio in every one of them, 15 g of coffee to 225 ml of water. all that changes is the grind and the wait.

french press

french press

water
225 ml
time
4 minutes

pro tip. coarse grind. break the crust at 3:30, let it settle for 30 seconds, then press slowly.

v60

v60

water
225 ml
time
2:30 to 3:00

pro tip. medium grind. bloom with 45 ml for 30 seconds, then pour in slow circles from the centre out.

chemex

chemex

water
450 ml for 30 g
time
4 to 5 minutes

pro tip. medium coarse grind. rinse the paper first or you'll taste it, then pour in stages.

moka pot

moka pot

water
to the valve
time
off heat at first gurgle

pro tip. fine grind, not espresso fine. start with hot water and pull it off the heat the moment it sings.

cold brew

cold brew

water
200 ml
time
12 to 18h in the fridge

pro tip. coarse grind. stir after a minute. 12h is light and fresh, 18h is bold.

espresso

espresso

the one exception. this is the one that doesn't work, sorry. the pressure and the heat mute the adaptogens, so you'd be paying for actives that never make it into your cup. any of the five above will treat you better.

swipe for the other methods

one to two cups a day. that's the range the doses are built for.

read all three and still can't pick?
